Pistrix is a take on the Gepetto/Pinocchio story. A toymaker, mad with grief over the loss of his wife and child, finds solace in the company of a puppet he creates and calls his son. When the townspeople steal his puppet as a means of tough love, he retaliates by burning them alive in the town hall. Haunted by grief and regret he spends his days in a mental ward where the lines between reality, memory and fantasy seep together.
